Last Big Push

The last big ride before IM- It was a half ironman race-pace attempt, but the course was a little hillier out the gate than either of my two previous half ironman races. I went out too fast, up the big Strange Range hill, and definitely bonked around mile 35-40. I probably should have ate my Honey Stinger bar earlier…

CCRC run

Easy distance run through the Tech Trails- it started raining toward the end. My legs still didn’t feel fresh, and I was completely wiped out after the run. Made dinner and laid down…

I just joined the Brooks Run Happy Group at Sweat365!

I’m a woman from Houghton MI US, born in 1983.

My favorite sports include: running cycling swimming triathlon hiking

My goals are: I hope to run 50 marathons in 50 states before I’m 50! I am also dabbling in long-course triathlons, mountain biking, and Nordic skiing, but my heart belongs in the world of running!

My other favorite activities include: Triathlon, Nordic ski, mountain bike, rock climbing.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in biomechanics of the knee.

This is my training blog which I am using to keep track of my fitness progress.
